Although it can in a neat little box with a mini CD-Rom to install it’s not Mac friendly as stated and therefore ultimately useless. Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2019 The reader itself is pretty sturdy, and should last a long time time. Definitely worth every penny and would recommend to others. Now I can access all my military email and sites from the comfort of my home. I was able to access all of my military sites with no problems.

Went to download the driver on the web site and it gave me a window 7 driver option. Plug it into a windows 10 machine and no autoload. Who sends a driver on a 3.5" cd? I was immediately worried.

Imagine sitting at your desk sipping on coffee with one hand and holding the CAC reader above your head just to get the dang thing to connect. It is not the USB or the device itself, it is the positioning of the cord. After that the cord had to be placed just right for the reader to connect to the computer. The first 6 months or so, it worked great. I have had this card reader for almost 2 years now.
